1. President of ISSCO Wang Gungwu called the app. 40 present members to order and expressed his wish to step down as President. All members warmly thanked him for his long-term support and work for ISSCO.

2. The Secretary and Treasurer of ISSCO L. Ling-chi Wang reported briefly on the regional conferences held in Berkeley 2002 on the literatures of the Chinese Diaspora. He then expressed his wish to step down as Secretary and Treasurer of ISSCO. All members warmly thanked him for his long-term support and work for ISSCO.

3. The Board proposed the following Officers for 2004-2007:
a. President: Teresita Ang-See
b. Vice President: Peter Li
c. Secretary/Treasurer: Mette Thunø
All three were elected.

4. The Board proposed the following Directors for 2004-2007:
a. Southeast Asia: Leo Suryadinata
b. Northeast Asia: Young-Rok Cheong
c. Europe: Frank Pieke
d. North America: L. Ling-chi Wang
e. Latin America: Juan Tam
f. Africa: Karen Harris
g. Oceania: Manying Ip
h. China: Zhuang Guotu
i. Taiwan: Li Ying-hui
j. Hong Kong: Wong Siu-lun
k. At large: Adam McKeown and Zhou Nanjing

All candidates were elected.

Request for the next international ISSCO conference in 2007 was received from Professor Zhou Nanjing at Peking University. Wang Ling Chi is proceeding to Beijing to finalize the matter with Zhou Nanjing after the Copenhagen conference. No other proposals had been received. There was a proposal that ISSCO maybe able to piggyback with the Hua-yi Net conference on libraries and documentary sources to be held in Singapore next year, 2005. An interest was expressed to hold a regional conference in Africa 2006. Karen Harris of Africa emailed the Board that she is still interested in being active in ISSCO and is considering the possibility of hosting one ISSCO conference there.
